Description
New to this area in the last few years, the Ambrosia is another Canadian discovery, being found in a Cawston, British Columbia family farm. The Mennell family came across it growing in their orchard.
This apple is medium to large in size with an elongated shape, similar to that of a Golden Delicious. The Ambrosia has an eye-catching colouration of mostly a reddish-orange, with hints of yellow peeking through. Cream-coloured, dense, sweet, low-acidic flesh makes this apple a fantastic choice for salads, cooking, and enjoying the ol' fashioned way!
Availability for the Ambrosia is from late August to early December.
