Asian Snap Pea

After several years of searching, we have found an almost stringless snap pea that is excellent for eating!

Asian Snap Peas, a cross between an English pea and a snow pea, feature diminished strings which do not need to be removed before consumption. They are sweet, crisp and refreshing when eaten raw. They can also be stir-fried, pickled or steamed as a side dish.

In China, these peas grow on two foot vines to about three inches in length. As with Asian Snow Peas, in the summer Asian Snap Peas grow in China's Liaoniang Province; in the winter they grow in the Fujian Province. The two different seasons allows both varieties of Asian Peas to be harvested year round!
