Fall '10 sees the re-introduction of double breasted clothing in the fashion arena. Fabric directions in suits relate back to the era of the 50's and 60's when suits did not have plain solid grounds. Nothing is flat with stripe fabrics that are more structured and less prone to creasing and more to performance.
The look is more a reflection of what one would expect from ones private tailor.
Coppley sport coats this fall have been created to match the new directions in double face fabrics in all wool woven, all wool double knit, woven knits and flannels. Contemporary colours such as grey, indigo, ochre, taupe and cocoa, are enhanced with colours such as cranberry, heather, hunter green and dark indigo.
Sportcoats that are easy on the body and shoulders that reflect the natural look are the prime direction. The look is young and expressive, colourful stripes in many varieties are used to elevate well established styles. Top stitching is important and can take the most basic garment into another dimension. The Coppley direction is younger with looks in stripes, herringbones and plaids that work well with jeans and chinos.
