This is a 2 week intense program. Registration is limited to 15 students.
Overnight accommodations available.
Materials: Language books and tapes, language cards, dialogue between fellow participants.
Purpose: This course is designed for students with some knowledge of Mohawk. It is a conversational course for those who are interested and willing to improve fluency in Mohawk. There is emphasis on writing Mohawk.
This course will emphasize the use and understanding of the Mohawk Grand River Territory. It will focus on the basic vocabulary and sentence patterns will be studied. Materials are credited to the Jake Thomas Collection. The course has written texts available at cost.
Evalulation: Students will present their story, i.e. a daily activity, describe the kind of work you do, describe your hobbies, explain where one resides, give family history, etc.
